Leading musical talents such as Wendy Eisenberg, The Soft Pink Truth, and Leah B. Levinson from Agriculture have collaborated on a fresh charity album. This compilation, titled “Just Cause Vol. 2,” directs its proceeds to the Immigrant Defense Project, a non-profit organization that offers vital legal education and support to immigrants facing incarceration and removal. The extensive 63-track project, orchestrated by Cody DeFalco and Evan Welsh, is currently available on Bandcamp.

Among the notable contributions, Eisenberg’s piece originates from Darlin’, her collaborative project with Ryan Sawyer and Lester St. Louis. Drew Daniel, known as The Soft Pink Truth and a member of Matmos, has provided a fresh rendition of his composition “Cloud.” The collection also showcases works from Lucy Liyou, Iceblink, Allegra Krieger, and Otracami, creating a rich tapestry of sounds for a noble cause.
Building on a Legacy of Support: The ‘Just Cause’ Series
“Just Cause Vol. 2” follows the precedent set by its predecessor, “Just Cause Vol. 1,” released in 2024, which channeled its support to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. Eisenberg also participated in the first volume, presenting the joint track “Calm Down” with More Eaze. Other artists like This Is Lorelei, OHYUNG, and Lia Kohl were also featured in the initial compilation, establishing a tradition of musical philanthropy.

Eisenberg’s latest solo recording, “Viewfinder,” was launched in 2024. Simultaneously, The Soft Pink Truth unveiled his most recent full-length album, “Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever?,” earlier in February of the same year, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to their craft even while engaging in charitable projects.
