This partnership facilitates a direct and secure transfer of power from the truck's Pro Power Onboard system directly into a household's electrical panel.

This streamlined system means that during power failures, F-150 Hybrid and Lightning owners can forgo the cumbersome setup of multiple extension cords. Instead, they can efficiently energize crucial appliances like refrigerators or other essential household items directly from their truck's power supply.

While plugging individual appliances into the truck bed is an option, this new, officially sanctioned system offers a superior connection. It allows the truck's 240-volt output to link directly to the home's main electrical panel, mirroring the function of a traditional generator. Installation can occur at or adjacent to the utility meter, providing robust and reliable backup. The system is compatible with F-150 Lightnings featuring 9.6 kW Pro Power Onboard and F-150 PowerBoost Hybrids with 7.2 kW capability.
